Week 2: Use of Texts
One website that we used during our ICT seminar was Tagxedo. This is a website which allows the user to make an image using keys words. I found this tool to be extremely easy to use and expect that it could be enormously versatile within the classroom. In my example I have used Tagxedo for common vocabulary to do with Grammar, and the image could be used for a handout to remind children of this vocabulary. The website could have other uses, for instance when children are writing about a topic that they aren't familiar with in an English, lesson new words or even success criteria could be written into a Tagxedo to act as a prompt.
Another website that I found to be a great resource for an English lesson is Storybird. This is a beautiful website and allows children to create their own picture book, poem or story book using stunning art work that is created already. This means that children are able to create something that looks professional but without taking time away from the actual content of the story. The website is easy to use and I would feel comfortable using this with a class of children to give context to their creative writing.

I also used Tagxedo and also found the website extremely easy to use. As you said you could use it as a handout I also believed it could be an extremely useful display of subject specific vocabulary.
